About Theresa Tsingis, PA, MS, MPH, IFMCP
I have practiced functional medicine for over twenty years. Specializing in chronic illness, gut issues, detoxification, weight loss, and difficult-to-diagnose cases such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, MCS (multiple chemical sensitivity), EMF sensitivity, POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome), PANDAS (pediatric autoimmune neurolopsychiatric disorders), tick-borne infections, and mold toxicity. I offer nutrigenomic analysis to identify unique metabolic imbalances, with protocols to compensate for inherited traits. I provide supportive modalities for faster healing, including craniosacral, chiropractic, neurology-based exercises, and instruction of acupressure points. Dr. Tsingis has more than 25 years of experience dedicated to a whole systems approach to health, with more than 10 years of postgraduate degrees including allopathic and chiropractic medicine, clinical nutrition, public health, and functional medicine. She is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner with the Institute of Functional Medicine. I graduated with honors from the NYC University system. I became a national park ranger, then continued my life-long quest for learning via a Doctor of Chiropractic degree plus masters degrees in Clinical Nutrition, Public Health and Medicine. I was one of the earliest advocates of functional medicine in the 1990s, and am an active member of several functional medicine forums that review clinical protocols from the latest evidence-based research. My personal experiences have led me to the belief that an integrative approach to life experiences, physical and emotional states, cognitive function, and spiritual wellbeing are vital to attaining health, balance and serenity. I enjoys spending time with my family, comedy, hiking, working out, and gardening.
